Only two days into summer break and I already feel like a bum. I have been snoozing (a lot) and running errands but not accomplishing anything. My sister was shocked to find me still in bed at 8:00 am. I am glad she woke me up though, I wanted to get outside and putter as much as I can today.

I spent yesterday afternoon with one of my friends from school. He is an International student, and will be returning to his home country within a few days. I wanted to spend our last time together, laughing, as we did so much this year. He tends to be so serious and intense (I was too 20 years ago) so thought that I would share bubbles with him. He didn't have a clue what I meant, it was so funny.

We came to my house here and played out in the yard with soap bubbles and a soap bubble gun. I had also stocked up on water pistals and had a big bowl full of them on the picnic table. The neighbor kids across the street joined us in our soap and water battles, the garden hoses were put into action too. All of us ended up soaked, and tired, but happy.

I hope that he understood me when I said he needed to learn his life lessons from bubbles.
